Sales Executive

We are looking for a high-performing Sales Executive to join the Marketing & Sales team and help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.
About your role
  • The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales in existing as well as new markets, and forging strong relationships with clients
  • If you are ambitious, focused, energetic, and able to close deals as well as to create and apply an effective sales strategy using traditional and new acquisitions methods, we would like to hear from you
Objectives of your role
  • Developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans in coordination with the Head of Marketing & Sales
  • Successful execution of these strategies as required to achieve agreed financial targets
  • Generate new leads using traditional and new acquisition platforms and methods as well as convert them into paying customers
  • Follow up with leads generated through marketing campaigns and convert them into paying customers
  • Meeting, or exceeding, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Understand customer trends and convert them into sales opportunities
  • Build meaningful and sustainable customer relationships and use cross- as well as up-selling potentials
  • Liaise closely with colleagues from marketing and make full use of existing data, as well as enhance this data continuously
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
  • Work with the management to set revenue and sales goals on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities and generate new leads through cold calling, networking and social media – and convert them into paying customers
  • Design effective sales processes and translate them into an existing CRM-Tool (Salesforce Sales Cloud), and maintain as well as enhance the CRM continuously
  • Promote Avallain’s products and services addressing or predicting our clients’ objectives
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients and listen to their wishes and concerns
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on Avallain’s products and services
  • Negotiate and close deals
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to internal Avallain’s guidelines and industry best practices
  • Compare actual sales, income and invoices with the defined targets. Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data. Analyse sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps.
  • Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and customer complaints regarding sales
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs. Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and monitor their preferences
  • Collaborates with marketing to develop lead generation plans and help build a dynamic and precise marketing and sales data intelligence
  • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  • Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends. Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
Required skills and qualifications
  • Proven track record and experience, including:
    -> Selling B2B software and SaaS solutions, ideally in eLearning, corporate training, and educational publishing market
    -> Closing deals from EUR 20K to EUR 300K and over
    -> Utilizing a CRM to manage leads, contacts, accounts, sales tasks, pipeline, and closing
  • Ability to accurately forecast future sales volumes
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Proficient in English and German: Native speaker or C2-C1 level with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient using Project-Management, Office- and Communication-Software such as JIRA, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Slack or similar
  • Experience with Google Ads and with realising an effective Search Engine Marketing from start to finish

  • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques

Compensation
  • The compensation associated with this position is competitive with the market and will be decided during the interview process based on skills and experience
  • Compensation is a mix of fixed salary and variable commissions based on attainment of sales targets
